EA Confirms Pick-Up-And-Play Madden NFL Arcade For December (Gamasutra)

After briefly mentioning a pick-up-and-play version of EA Sports’ Madden NFL franchise in August, Electronic Arts on Wednesday confirmed that it will be launching Madden NFL Arcade this December. Madden NFL studio EA Tiburon is developing the downloadable game, which is a streamlined five-on-five take on the traditionally realistic Madden NFL series.

Grand Illusion pays tribute to NW filmmakers (Seattle Times)

“Washington Grown: Celebrating the Best of NW Film” at the Grand Illusion and Northwest Film Forum’s tribute to the films of 1969 (including “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie”) continue this week, while the Fremont Outdoor Movies closes its season Saturday, Sept. 12, with “Animal House.”
