Just two months after the release of Guitar Hero 5, Activision has rolled out Band Hero. These two games are functionally the same, so Band Hero benefits from all the improvements that made Guitar Hero 5 so great, including the excellent new Party Play mode.

Grand Illusion pays tribute to NW filmmakers (Seattle Times)

“Washington Grown: Celebrating the Best of NW Film” at the Grand Illusion and Northwest Film Forum’s tribute to the films of 1969 (including “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie”) continue this week, while the Fremont Outdoor Movies closes its season Saturday, Sept. 12, with “Animal House.”
